Questions
The questions people actually ask.
The allowances, the hand-off to Amazon, the list in your browser — and the awkward questions about money. Anything missing — the address on the about page reaches a person.
01 Do pockets, straps and casters get measured too?+
Everything travels with the bag, so everything counts: casters, the raised handle, side pockets, the coat tucked through a strap at the last minute. We set the measurements on the label against the carrier’s frame, next to each other, and the answer lands on the card.
02 How can I be sure a bag suits my carrier?+
Set the airline filter on the bag shelf, or the bar inside your booking. Anything the frame would reject drops out of view, and every card you keep prints the count of carriers the bag clears.
03 When I hand the list over, what actually happens?+
A new tab opens on Amazon.ca with your picks and quantities already sitting in the cart. It becomes a normal Amazon order: you pay Amazon, the order lives in your Amazon account, and returns go back the same way.
04 Can a card number be entered anywhere here?+
Nowhere. No checkout, no account system, no payment field exists on this site. If a page pretending to be gfourr ever asks for card details, it is not us — close it and tell us.
05 Where does my list actually live?+
Inside your browser, on your device, in local storage — it never reaches our servers. Wiping the browser’s site data — or pressing empty on the list page — clears it for good.
06 Started a list on the phone — will the laptop see it?+
It will not. The list belongs to one browser on one device and does not travel; hand it over from the device you built it on, or spend a minute rebuilding it on the other.
07 What puts one item above another?+
Ratings lead, review volume follows. Then the practical filter: does the product keep the promises on its own label — for a bag, the printed dimensions passing a real sizer. Commission is not in the formula; a richer payout has never lifted a worse bag here.
08 How fresh are the carrier figures?+
The month printed on each carrier page is when the numbers were last checked against the airline’s own rules. Airlines shift allowances alongside fares more often than seasons, so weigh that date against your booking — and if something reads wrong, write; we will re-check.
09 The Amazon price has changed since I looked. Whose number stands?+
Amazon’s, always. The figure on this site is the price as last read, printed for comparison at a glance; the figure inside Amazon’s cart at checkout is the one that governs. Gear like this reprices quickly.
10 Why these eighteen airlines?+
They are the carriers Canada flies with most — Air Canada, WestJet, Porter, Flair and Air Transat up front, their transborder and long-haul partners alongside. The set keeps growing; name a missing carrier and it joins the queue.
11 Is gfourr a shop, or something to read?+
A measured catalogue, closer to a well-kept shelf than either. A checked range, a frame filter over it, and a list that walks to Amazon at the end. No news, no selling from our side.
12 Who answers for an order?+
Amazon, every time — payment, shipping, returns all live there. Anything about this site itself goes to the address on the about page, and a person answers.
